Rebranding Blauwhuis VZW
As my bachelor's thesis I was asked to redefine the corporate identity of Blauwhuis VZW. To start of this rebranding, I first conducted extensive research to map out the qualities of this non-profit organisation. A brand sprint was also carried out to list the wishes and competitors of the customer.
After collecting all this information, the basis of their new corporate identity was worked out. With their feedback, a design system was built which they can easily use in the coming years.
Different stories
Blauwhuis is a production house from Ghent that focuses on film and theater. The organization wants to profile itself as an artistic organization that works passionately on experimental projects, they mainly focus on a young target audience and also like to show a modern personality. Above all, Blauwhuis wants to give their audience authentic feelings and put experimental audiovisual art in the spotlight.
Besides the logo and the colors, photography is an important part of the corporate identity. Within the new corporate identity we work with the qualitative photos of Blauwhuis. However, the formats of these photos are always adjusted on the basis of aspect ratios. These aspect ratios are inspired by the dimensions of screens that are often used in the cinema world. Because of these unusual formats I could create experimental lay-outs.
In order to clearly present the new branding, some applications and a brand book were also created.
